Work and Income
Work is how most people earn a living, and income decides much of what a family can afford. This section follows the labour market, from how many people have a job to how many are looking for one, and what work pays. In 2025, the unemployment rate stood at 12.8%.
It also looks at those who earn too little or cannot work: how many people live in poverty, and how pensions, family benefits and other social support help them.
