About this metric
The chart shows how the waste generated in Armenia in 2024 splits by the activity it comes from: mining and quarrying, municipal waste, manufacturing, and all other activities together. The source table states no unit. Its municipal figure equals the thousand-tonne value of the municipal-waste table, so the figures are read as thousand tonnes.
Waste generation totalled 62.5 million tonnes in 2024. Mining and quarrying accounted for 98.34% of it (61.5 million tonnes), municipal waste for 1.02% (636.8 thousand tonnes), all other activities together for 0.52% and manufacturing for 0.12%.
The parts add up to the table's total of 62,497.68 (thousand tonnes), and the shares are shares of that total. "Other activities" combines agriculture, forestry and fishing, electricity and gas supply, water supply and waste management, construction, and other economic activities.
