Affordable and Clean Energy
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
Energy is essential for almost every aspect of modern life, including healthcare, education, transportation, and economic activity. However, many people still lack access to reliable electricity and clean cooking solutions, particularly in rural and low-income regions.
SDG 7 aims to ensure universal access to affordable and modern energy services while significantly increasing the share of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower. It also promotes energy efficiency and innovation in energy systems.
Transitioning to clean energy is critical for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, combating climate change, and ensuring sustainable economic development. Access to energy is a key driver of poverty reduction and improved quality of life.
