This metric compares how many children were available for adoption with how many were adopted, each year since 2010.

The number of children available for adoption peaked at 161 in 2011 and fell to 27 in 2023, the lowest of the years shown. In 2025 it was 40.

In every year shown, fewer children were adopted than were available. In 2010, 120 were adopted against 148 available; in 2025, 21 were adopted against 40 available.
