About this metric
This metric shows how many children lived in orphanages in Armenia at the start of each year, from 2010 to 2024.
The number was highest in 2010, at 1,225. It fell by almost a fifth in one year, from 1,102 at the start of 2011 to 898 at the start of 2012, and has stayed below 800 since 2019.
At the start of 2024 there were 706 children in orphanages, the lowest figure of the years shown. The data for 2023 and 2024 come from a different source table than the earlier years, so a small break is possible.
