EEnlightUpdated: Sep 15, 2026

About this metric

Families in Armenia receive a one-time allowance when a child is born. The chart shows how many allowances were assigned each year since 2019, by the newborn's order in the family. It counts allowances, so it is close to, but not the same as, the number of births.

Allowances for second children fell every year, from 13,562 in 2019 to 8,280 in 2025. Allowances for first children stayed between 12,735 and 14,210.

Allowances for third and later children rose over the same years. Third children: from 7,440 in 2019 to 8,894 in 2025, after a peak of 9,840 in 2023. Fourth children: from 1,188 to 2,209. Fifth and later children: from 353 to 711.
