About this metric
This metric shows the value of the goods Armenia sells abroad (exports) and buys from abroad (imports) each year, and the difference between them, the trade balance. Values are in billion US dollars.
In 2025 Armenia exported goods worth 8.3 billion dollars and imported goods worth 13.0 billion, so the trade balance was a deficit of 4.7 billion dollars. This is the largest deficit in the years shown, 2008-2025, and imports exceeded exports in every one of them. In 2025 exports covered 63.8% of imports.
Both flows grew strongly over the period. Exports rose from 1.1 billion dollars in 2008 to 3.0 billion in 2021 and peaked at 13.1 billion in 2024, while imports rose from 4.4 billion in 2008 to 5.4 billion in 2021 and peaked at 17.1 billion in 2024. In 2025 both fell from those peaks: exports to 8.3 billion dollars and imports to 13.0 billion.
