Divorces per 100 marriages

This metric compares the number of divorces registered in Armenia in a year with the number of marriages registered in the same year, as divorces per 100 marriages. It is not the share of marriages that end in divorce, because the divorces of a year come from marriages made in many different years.

In 1999 there were 10.1 divorces per 100 marriages, the lowest figure of the years shown. From 2006 to 2012 it stayed between 15 and 17, then rose, reaching 25.9 in 2017.

Since 2021 the figure has risen every year, and in 2025 it reached 35.3, the highest of the years shown. That is roughly one divorce for every three marriages.
