Outstanding loans at end of month, million AMD (drams and foreign currency), commercial banks
About this metric
This metric shows the mortgage loans that commercial banks have outstanding to residents of Armenia at the end of each month, from April 2005. Loans in drams and in foreign currency are counted together, in million drams. It is the amount still owed, not the new loans issued in a month.
In August 2026 the stock stood at 1,847,022 million drams, 18.2% more than in August 2025. At the end of 2025 it was 1,663,947 million, 13.1% more than a year earlier (1,471,292).
In April 2005 it was 5,464 million. It rose from each December to the next, reaching 88,114 million at the end of 2010 and 481,212 million at the end of 2020. In October 2023 it passed 1,000,000 million drams (1 trillion).
