The numbers of marriages and divorces show how habits around starting and ending a family change. The chart shows the marriages and divorces registered in Armenia each year since 1996.
Marriages rose through the 2000s and peaked in 2011, at 19,706. Since then they have mostly declined: 13,821 marriages were registered in 2025, the lowest figure since 2002 apart from 2020.
Divorces, by contrast, have grown, from 1,253 in 1999 to 4,881 in 2025, the highest of the years shown. They have risen every year since 2023.
