The chart shows who owns the dwelling a household lives in, according to the 2022 census. The shares are calculated separately for households in all of Armenia, in urban areas and in rural areas.
Of Armenia's 857,545 households, 89.4% (766,459) live in a dwelling owned by their own members. In urban areas the share is 86.9%, in rural areas 95.1%.
66,134 households (7.7%) live in a dwelling owned by another person or persons: 9.3% in urban areas and 4.0% in rural areas. The source does not say whether they rent or live there free of charge. 8,899 households (1.0%) live in a dwelling owned by the government, 4,578 (0.5%) in one owned by a community, and 1,889 (0.2%) in one owned by a legal entity. For 9,586 households (1.1%) the owner is not stated.
