About this metric
The chart shows how many women and men in each age group were diagnosed with a malignant neoplasm (cancer) for the first time in 2025. In total, 10,337 patients were registered: 5,303 women and 5,034 men.
The largest group is the oldest, 65 and older: 2,677 women and 3,156 men.
Women outnumber men in every age group from 15 to 59 (for example 716 against 356 at 45-54), while men outnumber women under 15 (46 against 34) and from 60 on (for example 751 against 668 at 60-64). Age groups differ in width, so the bars are not directly comparable.
