Syphilis and gonorrhoea

The chart shows how many patients were registered in Armenia with a syphilis diagnosis and with a gonorrhoea diagnosis each year.

In 2025, 792 patients were registered with syphilis and 183 with gonorrhoea. Syphilis was at its lowest in 2015 (36), reached 141 in 2020 and 439 in 2021, and peaked at 793 in 2024.

Gonorrhoea fell from 446 in 2011 to 183 in 2025, its lowest value. Since 2021 syphilis has been registered more often than gonorrhoea; in 2020 gonorrhoea was higher (276).
