Most popular names for newborn boys

Choosing a name is one of the first decisions parents make, and together these choices show how tastes change. The chart shows the ten names given most often to newborn boys in 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

In 2025, Davit was by far the most popular name: 1,119 boys received it. Narek (696) and Hayk (603) followed. The rest of the top ten are close together, from Robert (570) to Monte (456), and Leo and Mark were given to exactly the same number of boys, 460 each.

The list puts long-standing Armenian names, such as Hayk, Tigran and Areg, side by side with names used internationally, such as Leo, Mark and Robert.
