The chart shows how many cattle, cows, pigs, and sheep and goats Armenia had each year from 2007 to 2026, in thousand head. Cows are part of the cattle count. Horses are not shown: there were never more than 15 thousand of them, which would be lost on this scale.
Cattle numbered 468 thousand head in 2026, of which 187.3 thousand were cows. Cattle peaked at 701.5 thousand in 2016. Their number has fallen every year since 2021 (613.4 thousand), and 2026 is the lowest of the series. Cows fell from 318.6 thousand in 2016 to 187.3 thousand in 2026.
Sheep and goats numbered 695.7 thousand in 2026, below the 778.1 thousand of 2016. They outnumbered cattle in 16 of the 20 years, including every year since 2013. Pigs numbered 168.8 thousand in 2026, within a range of 84.8 thousand (2009) to 223.3 thousand (2020).
