Utilities at Home

Running water, a warm home and a working toilet are things many people take for granted, but not every household has them. This section shows how many homes are connected to gas and to wastewater treatment and, according to the latest census, how homes are heated, where their water comes from and what facilities they have.

It also follows how safe the drinking water is, how many people use safely managed water and sanitation, how much water and gas households use, and how much water is lost before it reaches people's taps.
