Transport and Communication

This section presents data on transport and communication activities.

Public transport covers the transportation of goods for the economy and the population, as well as passenger transportation on public routes. Non-public transport includes the transportation of an organization’s own goods and employees through internal or service transport.

The main transport indicators include freight transportation, freight turnover, passenger transportation, and passenger turnover.

Telecommunication activities cover the transmission of voice, data, texts, recordings, and images, as well as related services provided through wired, wireless, and satellite telecommunication systems.
