Inflation of food, non-food goods and services

This metric compares how prices of food, non-food goods and services have changed each year since 2009. Each point is the average price level of the year compared with the previous year's average.

In 2025 food rose by 5.1%, services by 3.0%, and prices of non-food goods barely moved, up 0.1%. For all goods and services together prices rose by 3.3%.

Food prices swing the most: the biggest rise, 12.5%, came in 2022, and food prices fell in 2009, 2016 and 2024. Services rose every year except 2017 (-1.3%), while non-food goods got cheaper in 2016, 2017 and 2024.
