About this metric

This metric shows what households pay per unit for drinking water, electricity, natural gas and sewerage in Armenia: the average national retail tariff for each year, in drams per cubic metre (water, gas, sewerage) or per kilowatt-hour (electricity).

In 2025 electricity cost 46 drams per kWh, up from 25 in 1999. Over the same years drinking water went from 46 to 168 drams per m3, natural gas from 51 to 142 and sewerage from 12 to 30.

Prices did not only rise. Natural gas peaked at 156 drams in 2014 and 2015, then fell to 151 in 2016 and 136 in 2017. Drinking water was 153 drams from 2017 to 2021 and rose to 168 in 2022, where it has stayed since.
