About this metric
This metric shows the number of convicts and detainees (the source calls them the "special contingent") in Armenia each year since 2010. The source does not say on which date of the year the count is taken.
The number fell by more than half, from 5,142 in 2010 to 1,967 in 2020, with the sharpest drop in 2018, from 3,536 to 2,266.
Since 2020 it has risen every year, reaching 2,854 in 2025.
