About this metric
The number of schools shows how widely general education is available across the country. The chart shows how many general education schools, state and private together, there were in Armenia each year since 2010.
The number fell from 1,450 in 2010 to 1,393 in 2025, the lowest of the years shown. Most of the decline came before 2019, when the number reached 1,400. Since then it has stayed between 1,393 and 1,402.
