Remittances to Armenia per year
Total inflow (compensation of employees, personal and capital transfers), US dollars, balance of payments basis
About this metric
Remittances are money that people working or living abroad send to their families in Armenia. This metric shows the total inflow of remittances Armenia received in each year from 2004 to 2025 (compensation of employees, personal and capital transfers), in US dollars, as estimated for the balance of payments.
In 2025 the inflow was 1.45 billion US dollars, against 1.29 billion in 2024. In 2004 it was 728.52 million.
The inflow peaked at 2.16 billion in 2013. It then fell to 1.43 billion in 2015 and stayed between 1.31 billion and 1.56 billion from 2016 to 2021. In 2022 it rose to 2.05 billion, the second highest year, and dropped to 1.48 billion in 2023. The 2024 figure was the lowest since 2009.
