Most popular Olympic sports in 2025

The chart ranks the ten Olympic sports with the most athletes in Armenia in 2025. "Olympic" is the Statistical Committee's own classification of sports.

Football has the most athletes, 7,560. Greco-Roman wrestling (5,024) and freestyle wrestling (4,815) follow, then boxing (3,867), judo (2,191) and weightlifting (2,046).

Together the ten sports have 32,310 of the 39,550 athletes in Olympic sports in 2025 (81.7%). Indoor volleyball is tenth, with 1,539. Adding the 8,626 athletes in non-Olympic sports gives the year's total of 48,176.
