Arrivals and departures

This metric shows how many people arrived in Armenia and how many left each year, and the difference between the two, net migration. The chart shows the data since 2010.

Through the 2010s, more people left than arrived every year. In 2010, 69,800 departed and 32,500 arrived, a net loss of 37,300. By 2019 the gap had narrowed to 15,400.

The picture changed after 2020. Net migration was positive in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. In 2024, 119,500 people arrived and 42,600 left, a net gain of 76,900, the largest of the years shown.
