Athletes per 10,000 people

The chart shows how many athletes there are for every 10,000 people in Armenia in each year from 2012 to 2025. It divides the athletes counted in sports organizations by the average population of the year.

In 2025 there were 156.1 athletes per 10,000 people, the highest value in the period. In 2012 the figure was 148.2.

It was lowest in 2014, at 134.9. It fell from 144.1 in 2019 to 140.1 in 2020 and has risen every year since, to 156.1 in 2025. The rise in 2025 was 0.2, from 155.9.

The average population is the mean of the 1 January values of the year and of the next year, so 2025 uses 1 January 2025 and 1 January 2026.
