About this metric
The 2022 census counted 857,545 households. The chart shows what share of them has each of four basic amenities: central water supply inside the home, a flush toilet inside the home for the household's own use, a bath or shower inside the home, and a connection to the central sewer system.
Across the country, central water supply is the most common, at 92.0%. A bath or shower is found in 90.7% of households, a flush toilet in 87.6%, and 75.2% are connected to the central sewer system.
In towns and cities, each of the four amenities reaches 95.2-95.7% of households. In villages the gap is wide: 83.4% have central water supply, 80.2% a bath or shower, 69.1% a flush toilet, and 28.3% are connected to the central sewer system. All shares are calculated out of all households, including the 9,586 for which the answer was not stated.
