About this metric
The chart shows life expectancy at birth for people living in the cities and in the villages of Armenia: the average number of years a newborn is expected to live.
In 2025 it was 78.8 years in cities and 79.1 in villages. In 1990 it was 70.4 in cities and 71.5 in villages.
The two figures stay close: in every year shown the difference is at most 2.0 years, and the higher one changes over time. Villages were higher in 25 of the 36 years. Both fell in 2020 and 2021, cities from 76.6 in 2019 to 71.4 in 2021 and villages from 76.0 to 73.4, and both rose every year after that.
