Thousand subscribers, at year end

EEnlightUpdated: Nov 6, 2025

About this metric

At the end of 2024 there were 519.3 thousand fixed broadband subscribers using fibre-optic (FTTx) technology and 45.0 thousand using DSL.

Fibre subscribers rose every year from 41.5 thousand in 2012. DSL went the other way: after 161.8 thousand in 2013 it fell every year, to 45.0 thousand in 2024. Fibre overtook DSL in 2016 (137.4 thousand against 133.4 thousand).

Both are parts of fixed broadband. Together they came to 564.3 thousand in 2024, against 604.0 thousand fixed broadband subscribers in all; the source does not break down the remaining 39.7 thousand. In every year from 2012 to 2024 the two together were below the fixed total.
