Doctors and mid-level medical staff

The chart shows two figures from the Statistical Committee's health system data: the number of physicians and the number of mid-level medical personnel, each year from 2011 to 2025.

In 2025 there were 12,994 physicians and 16,218 mid-level medical personnel. The number of physicians reached 15,061 in 2022, the highest in the series, then fell to 13,943 in 2023 and 12,899 in 2024. In 2025 it was below the 13,490 of 2011.

The number of mid-level medical personnel fell from 18,820 in 2011, the highest in the series, to 16,218 in 2025, with a low of 16,130 in 2023.
