How much of its food Armenia produces in 2025

Self-sufficiency, %, by food, 2025

EEnlightUpdated: Aug 27, 2026

About this metric

Self-sufficiency shows how much of each food Armenia produced in 2025 compared with what was consumed in the country. The value is given in percent.

A value above 100% means more was produced than was consumed in the country; the source gives no reason. This is the case for grapes at 104.4%, the fruit and berry group (without grapes) at 102.7%, and potatoes at 101.4%. Mutton and goat meat (99.9%), eggs (99.2%) and vegetables and melons (96.7%) are close to 100%.

Lower are beef at 86.0%, milk at 70.8%, barley at 57.1% and pork at 51.3%. The lowest are poultry at 24.3% and wheat at 23.2%.

Sugar, fish and vegetable oil are not in the chart; the reasons are in the notes.
