About this metric
The chart shows how much land in Armenia is irrigated: all irrigated land, and the part of it that is agricultural land. The figures cover 2006-2023.
In 2023, 209.55 thousand hectares were irrigated, 156.02 of them agricultural land. In 2006 the figures were 207.1 and 153.9.
Irrigated land changed little. Compared with 2006, all irrigated land is up by 2.45 thousand hectares (1.2%) and irrigated agricultural land by 2.12 (1.4%). Both series are highest in 2023 and lowest in 2006, and the largest yearly rise in both was in 2008 (1.4 and 1.3).
The 156.02 thousand hectares of irrigated agricultural land are about 7.6% of the 2,041.37 thousand hectares of agricultural land in 2023.
