Bus and minibus passengers

The chart shows how many million passengers general-purpose road transport carried each year, buses and minibuses, without passenger taxis.

In 2024 it carried 147.6 million passengers, and in 2019 it carried 160.2 million. In 2007 the number was 216.0 million, the highest of the period.

From 207.8 million in 2012 the number fell every year to 152.3 million in 2018. In 2020 it dropped to 52.6 million, the lowest of the period, and it has risen every year since.
