In 2024 the metro carried 26.3 million passengers, the most in 2007-2024. In 2020 the number fell to 10.8 million, the lowest of the period.
Since 2021 the number has risen every year: 18.5 million in 2021, 23.3 in 2022 and 25.6 in 2023. In 2007-2019 it ranged between 14.9 million (2012) and 20.0 million (2019).
